To perform Vehicle number detection and store it in a database using both Computer Vision and Image processing techniques. System extract the vehicle number - by capturing realtime video - converted into frames - and further processed for locating number plates and extrcating characters using OCR and other advanced features. It depicts the initial stage of developing number plate detection This is a basic model and the system originally used for processing CCTV video feed and extracting vehicle numbers of vehicles entering a campus in an authorised database along with the timestamp of entry and exit used for security purposes.
