Context

The Swedish name day (“namnsdag”) is a tradition where each day of the year is associated with one or more given names. People celebrate their name day much like a mini-birthday — usually with greetings, flowers, or a fika — though it’s more casual. The official name day calendar is maintained by the Swedish Academy.

What the app does

This app retrieves today’s name day data from the public API at sholiday.faboul.se for example:
https://sholiday.faboul.se/dagar/v2.1/2025/10/11.

It then formats and displays the names celebrating their name day for the current date.
