Core Roles Director

The director is the person ultimately responsible for making sure PyCon AU happens.

Main responsibilities:

• Recruit the other core team roles
• Get a budget approved by Linux Australia
• Find a venue and work with venue and our AV manager to make sure all our venue, tech, and catering needs are met
• Conference project management: keep an eye on things to make sure everything that needs doing is being done (mostly by delegating to the rest of the team)
• Core team management: keep an eye on things to make sure everyone is getting their tasks done and interpersonal conflict isn't becoming a problem
