Cloudflare captcha broken even with all settings disabled

Summary

Even with every single JShelter setting disabled, just having the extension turned on causes the Cloudflare captcha on sites like 4chan.org to fail and the page just refreshes endlessly.

Setup

JShelter in Google Chrome with all settings disabled.

Pages affected: All pages with a Cloudflare captcha
JShelter Version: 0.20.2

[Optional:]

OS: Windows 11
Browser: Google Chrome 138.0.7204.101
Other extensions that might affect JShelter behaviour: None

Same here. I disable all settings, and the cloudflare turnstile does not pass, then I do not change anything, but I disable JShelter, and the turnstile passes.

@yodaluca23 I have not found a workaround, and I'm not going to hold my breath.

Just keep reporting the problem to cloudflare whenever the turnstile comes up and hope they fix it.

If I login (specifically tried with ChatGPT) and then install JShelter, disable everything, it works.
If I am not logged-in, open ChatGPT it makes the endless CF thing.

I think that people posting here might be facing several separate issues.

First of all, the starting post is in JShelter running in a Chromium-based browser. I cannot reproduce the issue at the moment. I visited https://4chan.org in Chromium and the page loaded correctly. I have not seen any Cloudflare page.

I visited https://chatgpt.com in Chromium. I needed to set Worker protection to Strict (https://jshelter.org/faq/#i-want-to-use-a-website-that-uses-web-workers-but-it-is-broken-how-can-i-fix-the-site, https://codeberg.org/JShelter/webextension/issues/177). Then I sent "test" and the bot replied a sensible text. I have not seen any Cloudflare page.

I cannot replicate the issue.
