We are maintaining a backend for all Max Users now. This Backend sends thousands of Push Notifications a Month for every Device you are using.
This dramatically improves the update frequency of the Live Activity and the Dynamic Isle.
This Feature has been requested as long as I'm developing the app and was quite hard to develop, because of the Apple Push Notification Server that needs to
be maintained. Hope you enjoy it.

Looks like Apple allows only one update a day without the widget. When using the widget, looks like you can get 1-2 updates an hour.
