I confess this is mostly built through multiple iterations with LLMs…

I started quite some time ago, then provided some PRs for jest-webextensions-mock, but they never got merged. The author became silent. I think we were in direct contact for a while, so I will try to ping them. If there is no reaction, I can probably fork it and do whatever is necessary to be done in the hard fork.

Or... We create the mocks just for pontoon-addon, directly in this repository.

There is a fresh release of jest-webextension-mock, which includes some of the API that pontoon-addon uses. I believe there are still a few missing, and I am working with the owner to get co-ownership.

Hopefully before that happens, I can get some time to implement those.

Some my PRs were fixed. There are two missing APIs, which are not mocked, see #950.

Of course alternative it to drop/temporarily disable the tests.
