Maxim

Student developer working across web, mobile, and applied AI, from computer vision to LLM-backed tools. I build most projects end to end: backend, frontend, and product design.

I also co-run Balmuzdaq Studio, where I take on hackathons and freelance client work with the team.

Btw, I love computational modeling!

Featured Projects

  • KOREM — assistive city-navigation app for visually impaired users (computer vision, OCR, voice output). Finalist, National Innovation Project Competition "Smart City."
  • AI-Study + Srver_Ai_Study — turns uploaded course material into quizzes, summaries, and glossaries via GPT. 1st place, Almaty City Project Competition.
  • Terricon Hack — library companion app (event registration, book reminders, gamification). 1st place, HackTheBookshelf hackathon.

Computational Math Modeling

My favourite corner: turning messy real-world problems into models and code. These were worked as preparation for the Singapore International Mathematical and Computational Challenge (SIMC) 2026.

  • SIMC 2024 Endeavour Challenge — the Endeavour Challenge of the Singapore International Mathematical and Computational Challenge: multi-task pattern reconstruction and image analysis over packed datasets.
  • IMMC 2026 — Wildfire Modeling — wildfire risk and protection modelling for national parks (Etosha, Kaziranga, Yellowstone) from NASA FIRMS satellite fire data, vegetation indices, and geospatial layers.
  • Risk-Weighted Assets Optimization — a dynamic-programming method that minimises a bank's regulatory risk-weighted assets across large asset–liability portfolios.
  • Species Differentiation of Lizards — simple, field-usable criteria that classify eight Darevskia lizard species from body measurements, favouring interpretable rules over black-box models.

Collected together in the Preparation for SIMC 2026 index.

Selected Achievements

  • 3rd place, $1,000 — Sharpist 2024 AI Hackathon (Microsoft Developers Community Uzbekistan x IT Investments Center)
  • 1st place, $700 — HackTheBookshelf Hackathon (Terricon Valley)
  • 1st place, $300 — City Project Competition
  • Finalist — National Innovation Project Competition "Smart City"
  • Honorable Mention — ALASH Hackathon (National Physics and Mathematics School)
  • Global Nominee — NASA Space Apps Challenge 2024
