kkafle10/README.md

Hello,

I am Kaushal Kafle, a Computer Science student at BYU–Idaho with a minor in Data Science. I am passionate about solving problems and exploring new technologies. Outside of my technical work, I enjoy soccer (watching, playing, and discussing tactics), cooking and trying new cuisines, and spending time outdoors through camping, hiking, and travel.

I am especially interested in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and enjoy exploring how these technologies can be applied to real-world problems.

Currently Working On

SymptoTrack – A personal health tracking tool for logging recurring symptoms, identifying simple patterns over time, and generating physician-friendly summaries for medical appointments.

Why this project:
Many people struggle to recall symptom timelines, severity changes, and contextual factors during doctor visits. SymptoTrack aims to organize symptom data in a structured way and improve communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Core features:

  • Structured symptom logging (date, severity, duration, contextual factors like sleep and stress)
  • Time-series visualizations and severity distributions
  • Basic pattern and correlation analysis
  • Physician-oriented summary reports
  • Lightweight interactive dashboard

Tech stack:
Python, Pandas, Streamlit, Matplotlib

This is an active senior capstone project. The repository will be pinned here as development progresses.
