This script is called genQL, I started developping it at the start of 2010 to backup our websites and mysql databases.

Written by JuPiTeR (Nelson-Jean Gaasch), thanks to the precious help of Nuxien (Johan Roussel) and grosboulet.

Please be sure you don't email us telling this script is sh*t without mentioning
why and how you would improve it better (precise code example wanted) :) thank you ^^

This script has the following dependencies:
 * usual binutils, rsync, wget, mailx.
 * apache2-utils sharutils (debian packages for htpasswd and uuencode)

# dat file specifications: Each line represents a site to backup 
# dns;active;protocol;l0gin;ftpassword;sshkeyname;loginhtacces;passhtaccess;altdns;port;rpath;timesite;daysite;timedb;daydb;coef;GB;priority;pingtest
#  dns: Contains the dns of the site to save
#  active: 1 if site's backup is active ; 0 if it's inactive
#  protocol: ftp or ssh
#  login: Which login to use to login to the site
#  pass: Password for login (ONLY for FTP ; for ssh, RSA key-authentication is used)
#  sshkeyname; name of the ssh key to be used
#  loginhtaccess: login to be used for the site's htaccess
#  passhtaccess: pass to be used for the site's htaccess
#  altdns: Sometimes, the ftp to backup a site doesn't have the same address as the site itself, this is where you declare it
#  port: does the ftp/ssh service run on a particular port?
#  rpath: Where on the server is the directory? (important for the .htaccess)
#  timesite: Time where the site should be backed-up
#  daysite: Day the site should be backed up
#  timedb: time of the db backup
#  daydb: Day the DB should be backed up
#  coef: coeficient of space
#  GB: Allowed backup size
#  Priority: Allows to define which sites are the most important ones to backup
#  Pingtest: should we perform a pingtest with this site?
