Tafsir

The -tafsir and -atafsir commands send passages from tafasir (commentaries on the Qur'an). You can optionally specify which tafsir to use.

Sending tafsir in English

/tafsir <surah name or number> <verse number> <optional tafsir name>

For example, to send Ibn Kathir's commentary on the 255th verse of the second chapter of the Qur'an, type:

/tafsir 2 255 ibnkathir

Sending tafsir in Arabic

Use /atafsir to send tafasir in Arabic.

-atafsir <surah name or number> <verse number> <optional tafsir name>

For example, to send Fakhr al-Din al-Razi's commentary on the first verse of the third chapter of the Qur'an, type:
