I think it's great that you want to help breathe new life into this tool, maybe we could phrase the warning a bit differently. While it may be fundamentally accurate, it's not very helpful. I agree that this thing should come with a disclaimer, but I would like to see something a bit more descriptive there. Specifically, an enumeration of the issues that need to be addressed before it should be considered more reliable, and maybe a more general disclaimer that no tool is ever going to keep you completely safe.

I'd like to see something like

This tool is currently a proof of concept, and needs several enhancements before it should be considered stable:
  * list
  * of
  * glaring issues

No anti-compulsion tool should ever be considered completely safe, blah blah.

What do you think?

Agreed. I will comb through the code some more and work on isolating all potential edge cases that need to be addressed. I will then compile them into the list of glaring issues and adjust the pull request accordingly. Thanks for getting back to me. I look forward to working with you on this project.
