The new code can also work for tables, where table rows are wrapped by e.g. elements

<tbody>
    <a href="...">
        <tr>
            <td>
            ...
            </td>
        </tr>
    </a>
    ....
</tbody>

can sort <tbody><a><tr><td> before it could only sort <tbody><tr><td>
