fixed this issue by adding additional scope attributes on the mdSelect directive. I kept the default behavior if this attributes are not included. --md-select-all : Expects an array of Objects, this will select all rows across all pages. --md-search : Expects a string(variable you filtering on ), this will select all rows across all pages that show up when filter is applied.
