Folded into #348. The setup-go v5->v6 bump alone can't go green: CI's GO_VERSION (1.25.9) is behind master's go.mod (go 1.25.11), so the vendor step fails under GOTOOLCHAIN=local. #348 bumps GO_VERSION to 1.26.4 (for controller-runtime v0.24 / k8s v0.36 / Go 1.26) and includes the setup-go v6 bump. Closing in favour of #348.
