removed patches already contained in hadoop-3.4.2.
HADOOP-18648 obsoletes patch5-fix-kms-shellprofile.diff.
HDFS-17287 was renamed to HADOOP-19019 and merged to only trunk.
YARN-11873 and YARN-11875 are needed for node compatibility issues.
recent branch-3.4 requires additional boost libraries on Ubuntu and Debian.

Upgradeing Hadoop may break downstream products. It should be addressed in the follow-up JIRAs.

smoke-tests of hdfs,yarn,mapreduce are passed on the following platforms.

ubuntu-24.04 (x86_64)
debian-12 (aarch64)
fedora-40 (x86_64)
rockylinux-9 (aarch64)
openeuler-22.03 (aarch64)
