When
SQVM::EnterFrameis called, it updates the value of_topBEFORE checking if that new value is within_stack. When this function encounters a stack overflow while in a metamethod, it returns without reverting the previous value of_top. This leads to_topstill pointing outside the bounds of_stack, which later leads to out-of-bounds access and heap corruption.The reproducer code is provided below:
This pull request fixes this bug by updating the value of
