Google chrome extension to track your time spent in daily tasks
The Daily Work Tracker is a Chrome extension developed by Alejandro Fanjul. It allows users to track the time spent on daily tasks with ease. The extension features a user-friendly interface, task categorization, and data export options.
- Task Tracking: Start and stop tracking time spent on individual tasks.
- Time Display: View the elapsed time for ongoing tasks.
- Task Categorization: Organize tasks into categories and subcategories.
- Task List: Display a list of all tasks with their durations.
- Task Removal: Delete tasks from the list.
- Data Export: Export task data in CSV format or copy to clipboard.
- Download the extension files from the GitHub repository.
- Open Chrome and navigate to
chrome://extensions/. - Enable 'Developer mode'.
- Click 'Load unpacked' and select the extension directory.
- Starting a Task: Enter a task name and click the play icon to start tracking.
- Stopping a Task: Click the stop icon to stop tracking a task.
- Categorizing a Task: Select a category and subcategory from the dropdown menus.
- Viewing Tasks: The task list displays all tracked tasks with their durations.
- Removing a Task: Click the '×' button next to a task to remove it.
- Enable Categorization: Check the option in the settings to enable task categorization.
- Adding Categories: In the settings, input category and subcategory names in the provided text area.
- Toggle Tracking:
Ctrl+Shift+Kon Windows orCommand+Shift+Kon Mac.
