Would be nice if the app could check at startup asynchronously if a newer version has been released on GitHub and show some non-intrusive update notification icon with appropriate tooltip and going to releases page on GitHub to get the new version.
The releases should also point to Microsoft Store etc. store versions apart from having downloadable versions, so it would be upon the user to follow the appropriate updating path (OR MAYBE SHOULD BE SIMPLER?)
To decide if update exists should do semantic version string comparison between the app version string and the github latest release tag
