+                        The ATTCAT project was established to develop the first digital thesaurus of Chinese architecture terminology in the English-speaking world. Beginning in 2017, our mission is to unlock the meanings of technical terms used by builders, craftsmen, and officials through both textual and visual examples. Initiated by Chen Wei 陳薇, Zhuge Jing 諸葛净and Tracy Miller 梅晨曦, our annotations have been available through the AS web portal since 2018, with abbreviated entries available through the Getty Art and Architecture Thesaurus. Longer AS entries include Illustrations, historical examples, and a bibliography of modern and premodern sources included in order to facilitate and inspire future research.
