  1. Test all of your code as you go—it’s not fun to write tests all at once when you have a deadline approaching (and this is coming from a person who enjoys testing)
  2. It’s okay not to know everything because that’s why we’re here. If we knew everything about CS we wouldn’t enjoy it; the fun comes from figuring out something for the first time
  3. Don’t forget to have fun! You’re also here to make friends so say hi to the people on your team. Hang out with each other once in a while! Doing work is more fun and more doable if you have someone to do the work with

  1. It only takes one person to change this club, you just need to want it. Capitalize on what you want to do, what you want to learn, what you want to accomplish and just do it.
  2. Technical skills are useless if there isn't a team to build with. Even if you know every framework and language, you can't have this team without people that want to be here.
  3. Make sure to check in with yourselves sometimes. It's easy to lose who you are between the exams, the homeworks, project deadlines, applying to jobs, keeping up with friends and family. You can only do what you want if you have what you need.
