Right now it's very much a "direct unless code says otherwise" port, so big thanks to DopplerShift and Ephe for the original PR!
There has been a balance change, the printable phones are now available from Holographics technology rather than the far away Telecommunications Technology.
As for what these phones are, they are portable, itemized versions of MODLink Scryers, allowing two-way communication. They're cool.
