Stdlib-only helper that checks whether a Dependabot bump is already shipped by Kaggle/docker-python (and, for competitions/hearth, within uv's exclude-newer cutoff and not a major bump), then prints a JSON verdict (auto-approve / needs-attention / skip-js). Dependabot PRs against Kaggle/competitions and Kaggle/kaggle-environments
pile up because verifying each bump by hand is tedious. This skill
automates the check: if the proposed version is already shipped in
docker-python's kaggle_requirements.txt (and isn't blocked by hearth's
uv exclude-newer cutoff, a major bump, or failing CI), it's safe to
auto-approve. Ships a stdlib-only helper script with pytest coverage so
agents or humans can triage individual PRs or sweep the backlog.
