- CMAKE_C(XX)FLAGS already contains them but also contains other flags added by cmake depending on the target. So add them manually.

Hey, just wondering what's the status on this PR? Seems like it has some worthwhile improvements, looks like it needs to be rebased, but apart from that are there any issues preventing this from getting in @Jarod42 ? |

Basically changes from Enhex#16 plus one additional change (honoring C(XX)FLAGS) as well as two regression fixes.
