This package currently uses eslint, so I'm not sure if prettier is needed

There is good logic presented over here — https://prettier.io/docs/en/why-prettier.html

In my opinion, it makes it easier for contributors to work with a library when the styles are consistent with their own. Prettier is a lot more popular standard for formatting code and makes onboarding that much easier.
