GPU & systems engineer. Currently building CUDA-accelerated analytics at KX — one of the world's fastest time-series and vector database platforms.
Previously at Apple (Cambridge), where I worked on GPU- and ISP-powered pipelines for iOS camera software. Before that, Wellcome Sanger Institute, where I built open-source tools for large-scale genome assembly.
Most of my open-source contributions live under org accounts:
- sanger-tol — genome assembly pipelines and visualisation tools, including PretextView and PretextMap
- wtsi-hpag — high-performance assembly tools including HiLine and SamHaplotag
I hold a PhD in Computational Biology (University of Warwick) and have published in Nature, Science, Cell Genomics, and eLife.
