The CGIAR Climate Data Hub aims to improve the visibility, accessibility, and usability of climate data in support of climate-informed decision-making.
Climate-related data, methods, and tools are rapidly expanding but remain fragmented and difficult to access or interpret. The Hub addresses this challenge by integrating data and expertise into a coherent system that supports researchers, governments, and financial institutions in responding to climate adaptation and mitigation needs. It promotes modern data usage, tools, and analytical methods, including AI and large language models, to support reproducible, efficient, and robust science while minimizing duplication of data and effort. To do so, the hub is built on modern, scalable data practices. It emphasizes cloud-native data access and structured metadata to support discovery and interoperability, while ensuring that workflows are reproducible, version-controlled, and AI-enabled.
