Apologies for the incredibly long response time, I'm relatively new and the rest of our team hasn't had time to update the repo in quite a while. Do you have any more information about your configuration or how to reproduce this issue so that we can find the root cause? |

This PR solves issue #111. I am not able to reproduce perfectly the cause of a problem so I proposed a defensive solution that is based on type checking and a fallback path if a chech fails.
