Features

• FBX model importer: custom 3D models can now be provided by mods, either replacing existing models or for another usage
• Cheat option "Get all items" that gives 99 of each item, accessible through the cheat "Max gil" in-game
• Dual-language option: switch between two languages at any time when playing
• Smoother text appearance of texts and dialogs

Launcher

• Add Traditional Chinese (繁體中文) in the Launcher's languages (thanks @chuck15kimo)
• Check for update when the launcher opens rather than when clicking play
• Fix priorities (mod order) of non-active mods not saved
• Sub-mods can now apply a launcher theme

Backend

• Flexible and dynamic text modding: makes it easier to have mods changing global aspects of the texts
• The stat bonuses given by custom ability features are now be previewed in the "Equip" menu
• Remove the limit on the number of Magic Stones, AP and item icons
• Patch shops in a way that preserves mod compatibilities
• Many improvements of the Model Viewer
• More NCalc functions, more text tags
• Improve support for translation mods

Bugfixes

• Restore a small moogle animation when reading mognet letters: there is "gif" that was dummied (even in the PSX version)
• Fix a bug with Lani's weapon disappearing in trance (and other similar situations of a weapon disappearing in trance)
• Remove an irritating 1px line surrounding the screen in some situations (thanks @andy013)
• All non-main characters are healed by World Map tents
• Fix the controls during the Blank swordfight mini-game

Because of a problem with Microsoft certificate system, it may be that Windows ask for your confirmation before running the patcher.

In the launcher, I toggled check for updates. It did the prompts, an error for requiring .NET 4.8.1, I click ok, it brings me to the .NET 4.8.1 webpage, I get the error:

"The .NET Framework 4.8.1 is not supported on this operating system."

Which I know this error for me is actually incorrect, because I already have it installed:

Because I literally could not even get the launcher or game to launch, everytime I tried to launch the game it would throw the .NET Framework 4.8.1 error, I came to your Github here to grab the previous version of the patcher. Downloaded, threw it in my FFIX game folder, ran it, and the launcher now works perfectly:

However, I am thinking now the Alternate fantasy is causing a crash every battle.

Hi,

There's a dedicated place to report issues, please report your issues there in the future.

As for your issues, Alternate Fantasy requires the last version of Memoria which require .NET Framework 4.8.1 (not ASP.NET), so it looks like you are out of luck if you can't find a way to install it properly. Couple of solutions you can try:

• Make sure your Windows is up to date, the framework .Net 4.8.1 should be included in Windows update.
• Try to install manually using the runtime offline installer you can find here

ASP.NET is absolutely different from the .NET Framework.

As for the crashing with AF it is because that mod requires the latest Memoria. What operating system are you using?

I explained that - the latest version of memoria does not work as I posted in the first post:

I have .Net 4.8 already installed and the last version of memoria works just fine. I dont know what changed about new memoria, but it throws that error every time:

Now, I already have .Net4.8, but I'd like to know, if the v2025.05.12 of Memoria was merely built with with .Net 4.8.1, and this is just a "version check" that memoria is doing because it was built with 4.8.1, but yet it doesn't actually utilize anything special from .Net 4.8.1, then couldn't the new v2025.05.12 version of Memoria just be built with .Net 4.8 instead and keep all it's updates?

The reason I ask is because I am having what looks like a much more painful issue if I have to install .Net 4.8.1, shown below:
