How to get immediate alerts?

I want to use the API for getting severe weather alerts for my area, but the NOAA webpage talks about "reasonable rate limits in place to prevent abuse and help ensure that everyone has access." How can I get weather alerts the moment they come in without pulling the data every 5 seconds and hitting the rate limit?

If you are a single user requesting a single endpoint, it is unlikely there would be an issue with the rate limit.
