I think I found the "answer": -S is for updating remote repo info, and thus (probably) won't be tricked by the .conf file I created into thinking my local repo is a remote repo... :-( And, apparently one cannot combine -Su with -R to have local and remote repos being considered at the same time. So, my goal is not achievable at all? |

I'm building a few select packages locally. Some of them need to be in sync with other packages (und thus need rebuilding alongside with official rebuilds). In order to not having to uninstall local packages (temporarily) in order to be able to install dependencies from official repo, I'd like to have
xbps-install -Sualso check for updates in the local repo and update all packages at the same time.I already tried adding a .conf file in
/etc/xbps.d/pointing to the directory containing the packages. And also additionally a symlink to that directory in/var/db/xbps/(and then pointing the .conf file to that symlink. But that doesn't seem to work or at least be sufficient.Would the reason be that there is no key for the local repo in
/var/db/xbps/keysor is there another reason why that doesn't work?Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
