Hi @jordandsullivan there is one particular compiler pass proposal we have for this mentorship program that we would like you to have a look and discuss with us if you are okay with the timeline for the program |

Thanks @AbdullahKazi500 -- this is very intriguing, could be a good candidate for a longer term UCC project! |

Most likely mentorship will require more than 3 hrs per week on our side, so we need to make sure we have the resource for this. We are able to select specific mentees. |

@AbdullahKazi500 do you happen to have examples of previous successful projects that have been part of the QAMP program? |

Yes @jordandsullivan one of them was a Unitary fund micro grantee Winner --- https://github.com/TheGupta2012/qiskit-timeline-debugger |

This is definitely an interesting program, and we may want to support it for next year, but we do not currently have the bandwidth to mentor a student or set of students for this project. Thank you for bringing it to our attention! |

Hi @jordandsullivan yes, no issues this was an intense mentoring program, so I agree with you but we are planning to propose the pass idea for UCC Repository and we are thinking of applying to the micro grant program do you by any chance have details for applying to microgrant program |

You can take a look at past microgrants we've awarded and read FAQs on our website: https://unitary.foundation/grants/ Generally we award microgrants for larger projects, ones which could be their own full libraries which have a broad impact on the quantum computing community as a whole. For certain larger projects in UCC, such as creating a whole new module for fault tolerant compilation (which another contributor is working on a design doc for), we would consider awarding a microgrant. For an individual compiler pass, we would most likely award contributions using our Merit bounty system. |

QAMP 2025 (Qiskit Advocate Mentorship Program) runs from October 2025 – January 2026.
It’s a 3-month program where Qiskit Advocates work on open-source projects under the guidance of mentors.
Mentees: commit ~5 hrs/week, refine project goals with mentors, attend 2 checkpoints, and present final results.
Mentors: commit ~1–3 hrs/week, review applications, propose projects, guide mentees, and join checkpoints & showcase.
Benefits: professional growth, leadership experience, networking, and making an impact on the next generation of quantum developers.
Previous surveys show 88% of mentors and 90% of mentees found the program highly valuable.
so Would you be interested in serving as a mentor for QAMP 2025 and guiding a Qiskit Advocate project?
