I use portfolio as my primary way of navigating my music collection and would find the side swipe so much more useful if it went back a folder instead of going to the starting page every time. This would make one-handed navigation so much easier whereas right now one-handed is kind of tough hitting the back button while holding the phone in the same hand.
Maybe a compromise would be side swiping goes back a folder if there is one to go to, otherwise, THEN go to the starting page if there is none.
