By March 2026 the SWC LPGC will draft and set how the committee makes decisions as a group, this decision making paradigm must be passed by consensus.
By the end of 2026, add 1 intermediate workshops to the official SWC curriculum from the incubator and create a pipeline for how we add lessons/workshops going forward.
Each year the SWC GC reviews 3-5 lessons from the curriculum, with a critical eye to bigger changes that might be needed.
Timeline
Feb - Vote on decision making, vote on goals for this year and potential goals for next year
March - Start outlining process for adopting a new lesson
April - Continue working on lesson adoption process
May - Complete and vote on lesson adoption process and potentially one new lesson to bring in this year
June - Write out criteria we will continue to look for in reviews and review unix shell lesson via this process
July - Review Python gapminder lesson
Draft language for the charter to include our focus on EDIA as a committee
Aug - Review R gapminder lesson
Sept - Begin plan for hosting sprint on SWC lessons in early 2027
