Demos leave .lock files in /tmp folder

Hi, when running the demos, I notice that there are a bunch of files in the /tmp folder of the form /tmp/user/.sos/somehash.lock. Is there a setting that will automatically clean up these files once dsc has finished a run?

It looks like the key is to make sure you have the most up-to-date version of sos.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I cannot use the absolute newest version as I’m running into the same error as #233 .

But in the bug report (vatlab/sos#1550), they are talking about ~/.sos which may be a different issue. I’m specifically talking about the many lock files that are created in /tmp. (Colleagues reported numbers going in the range of 100000s of files.) If this is more of an sos issue, I can however also direct my question there.

I believe a temporary file is automatically created for each job.
