[Feature request] Protect all notes under a tag by default

I have a tag that consider private. I protect each note one at a time. I'd prefer it if I could make everything under this particular tag protected by default, inclusive of any subtags.

Describe the solution you'd like
Under preferences for a tag, provide a toggle for making all new notes protected by default. For subtags default settings are inherited but can be modified.

I haven't found any relevant plugins so I've been doing this manually.
