Hi, I'm Jay (deadrat-in).

I build and maintain open-source software, mostly around AI, automation, privacy, developer tooling and the open web.

Some of the projects I've built include:

  • AI Chat Exporter, a browser extension for exporting conversations from ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and other AI platforms into portable formats.

  • Decant, a privacy-first browser extension that turns web pages into clean Markdown locally, with exports suited to Obsidian, Logseq and Notion.

  • ResumeOps Engine, an AI-powered system for generating structured, tailored resumes from validated source data.

  • Gatepass LLM Proxy, a lightweight proxy for managing and auditing LLM API traffic.

  • Google Photos → Wikimedia Commons Bridge, a privacy-focused tool for transferring and curating photos using official APIs.

  • Other smaller experiments and utilities around Linux, open source, AI and automation.

I prefer building software that is useful, transparent and reasonably self-hostable rather than chasing unnecessary complexity.
