Github ID Limit Exceeded

I use Solana Faucet for 4 months now. But since 1 week i have this error displayed on the bottom-right of the screenshot.
"Github ID Limit Exceeded"

is there like a maximum faucet lifetime amount we cannot exceed? how do long term builders on solana do when they absolutely need to use the devnet for their product?

The POW faucet never worked, the CLI also.
And most of them doesnt work also, to be honest its a big pain..

Additional reproducible data point: this does not seem limited to the web faucet UI or the "GitHub ID Limit Exceeded" message.

Reproduced on July 9, 2026 against https://api.devnet.solana.com.

Target address:

Initial balance on devnet:
0 SOL

Versions:

• solana-cli 3.1.14
• devnet-pow 0.1.4

Direct CLI airdrop also fails:

solana airdrop 1 DyjE7V48tLALJXszNqy7k7xUtjf612n1ghE3KLAgYVb7 --url devnet

Output:

Error: airdrop request failed. This can happen when the rate limit is reached.

POW faucet path fails with the same backend error:

devnet-pow mine -d 3 --reward 0.02 --no-infer -t 20000000 -ud

Output:

Caused by:
    airdrop request failed. This can happen when the rate limit is reached.

At the same time, devnet-pow get-all-faucets -ud showed funded faucets, including a difficulty-3 faucet with a positive SOL balance.

So this looks like a faucet-side rate-limiting or service issue affecting both the standard devnet airdrop path and the POW faucet path, not only the GitHub-authenticated web UI.

I tried the faucet and it works for me.
If you run into a limit for you github account connect another github account if you need another limit.

The POW faucet also works. Maybe try this config:
devnet-pow mine -d 3 --reward 0.02 --no-infer -t 5000000000

If you need higher amounts of devnet sol maybe you should rather test locally?
