Ganache-cli not found

Hi I have finally managed to get yarn working after having to use brew, now when I try to do yarn global add ganache-cli it installs but then I cannot use the ganache-cli --version command or anything to do with ganache-cli, what do I do???

I have managed to play around with it a bit by uninstalling, reinstalling, updating packages etc, so now when I type in ganache-cli I get this:

I did research on this and seems to be a recent problem, [here] is a workaround, adding something to your env variables. also remember if you want it to be permanent you must add it to ./bash_profile (or .bashrc - .zshrc deppending your Mac version)

Hi thanks for the reply, I have followed the steps in the link however when I try to source the bash config file I get this: joe@Joes-MacBook-Pro ~ % source ~/.bash_profile source: no such file or directory: /Users/joe/.bash_profile

also I forgot to answer this, depending on your MAC Os version this file could be .bashrc or .zshrc... don't forget you must use ~/ to refer the home path.

thanks I've got it all sorted now, apparently ganache-cli doesn't work with node 17 so had to install 14 and use that instead, all working now! Thanks for your help!

I'm sorry it took so long to get solved, but I'm glad you managed to get it done.
Nice to have in mind ganache is not compatible with node 17.
