The staff blog will remain on Medium for now, but I'm against the idea of paying to associate it with a custom domain and hello knows if Medium will be around forever. We may also disappear before Medium does, but that's not the point. Medium, custom domain or no, is stylistically inflexible.

So, we're going to have a standard company news/customer facing blog and a staff expertise blog, the former of which will be served on a subdomain blog.seoscribe.net, while the majority of the single pages will remain here.

We need to decide on a CMS for the blog section. Having experimented with numerous CMSs over the years for my own site, I think we either just use Blogger or Ghost. I was using a static site generator for my own site for a while, but Blogger actually combines hosting and rather flexible templating (if you revert to classic templates).

On the other hand we self-host Ghost. If we did do that, we will need to pay for a VPS each month but we'd be able to move the home page/contact us/everything all into one place, rather than leaving some bits here.

I don't see a problem with the Blogger route as long as Github doesn't stop gh-pages any time soon, and it wouldn't be monumentally difficult to migrate a few static pages should the worst come to pass.

Any opinions @loisatwood, @artmilt ?
