Open in background option not working

What did you try to do?

Tried to enable "Open in background" option from the preferences menu

What should happen?

It should mark the checkbox and enable the app to open in background at login

What did happen?

The checkbox is not clickable, even after clicking the "Open at login" checkbox

I've just checked the current Electron documentation, and apparently Apple completely removed the open as hidden feature in macOS 13.

https://www.electronjs.org/docs/latest/api/app#appsetloginitemsettingssettings-macos-windows:

• openAsHidden boolean (optional) macOS Deprecated - true to open the app as hidden. Defaults to false. The user can edit this setting from the System Preferences so app.getLoginItemSettings().wasOpenedAsHidden should be checked when the app is opened to know the current value. This setting is not available on MAS builds or on macOS 13 and up.

Windows and Linux never supported this at all so it is already emulated for those, so it should be simple to do that for macOS 13+ as well.

It works on the development build, the window is hidden but I still see the icon on the dock after I login
Is there a way to start the application and hide the dock icon as well?
