Apparently a temporary issue, whatever the cause for it was. Worked after a while.

This was due to the rubygems.org server experiencing small blips of downtime over the past couple of days, we believe the issue is now fixed

I'm having this problem for the past several weeks. I can put the same URL into Firefox, and it works.
