GAPBF Refactoring Tasks

Critical Issues 🔴

  • 1. Move config loading from module level to main() function
  • 2. Pass config as parameter to PathHandler instead of reloading
  • 3. Accept config path as CLI argument with default value
  • 4. Fix PathFinder's direct modification of config.yaml file
  • 5. Implement thread-safe CSV logging
  • 6. Replace Logger singleton with proper logging setup
  • 7. Fix DFS algorithm inefficiency (eliminate list copying)
  • 8. Add progress persistence and resume capability
  • 9. Replace sys.exit() with proper error handling and retries

  • Automatic type coercion and validation
  • Better error messages with detailed validation failures

  • Progress bar with percentage
  • Paths completed / total paths
