Time to publish a new release?

The latest v1 release was on 2022 and there seem to have been a number of improvements since then.
Would you be willing to create a new release?

Sort of. I need to implement some testing against new behavior to make sure the fixes for the corner case don't regress or impact other code branches. There are also a few accidentally-closed PRs to double-check (due to the default branch change that's had side effects).

It would be good to get a release that includes 98fac3d at least. Would you consider an interim 1.2.3 that cherry-picks that?
