Override the maven repository based on the offering

Depending on the offering, the Maven repository to add is different.
Normally, this is part of the platform metadata, but we need a solution that does not require changing the platform.

Same question. If we want to do it properly, it should be fixed in core. If we want a quick workaround/hack, it can stay here.

Is there an assumption that a platform release could be split and deployed to different Maven repositories? Or the same platform release will be deployed as a whole to multiple repositories?

The current approach is to use the same platform and publish it into multiple repositories.

I'd consider dropping the Maven repo from the platform metadata until we fix it in core properly

@aloubyansky to which core are you referring to? What would be the proper fix, could you elaborate?

Projects are generated by the dev tools libraries that are in the Quarkus core repository. An implementation of this feature should happen there to make sure all dev tools clients using those dev tools libraries produce the same result.

TBH, I'd put this feature on hold, since I am not sure it will be needed long term. A platform is multi module project with modules having dependencies on each other (both in Maven terms and Quarkus dev tooling-wise). It'd be more than simply copying a relevant Maven repo config from metadata to make sure generated projects actually build and manageable by our dev tools.

Funny, I was just going to ask @aloubyansky about the status of this one. I am not sure why but I thought we settled on removing the repo from generated projects ?
