Drawing just one path for different elements

I am trying to create a pdf using the draw methods such as draw_line, draw_rect, draw_bezier.
The problem is that when I create the pdf file, each of these elements lies on its own path.
How can I make them belong to the same path? They are geometrically connected.

You must use the Shape class for this. It contains all the draw_*() methods, plus method .finish() which "closes" each path.
Within the same shape, you can add more draws followed by another finish.
When done, write the result to the page via Shape.commit(overlay=True), where you decide whether putting everything to foreground or background.

Each draw method returns the end point of the drawing activity. Use this point as the start point of the subsequent draw.

It indeed works. But I don't understand, why is it when you changed the order it got it? I thought that paths must
always be connected, and the second object of the line is not connected directly to the rectangle.
I am missing something, but not sure what

I changed no order.
I just did what is required if you want to make a complex path - consisting of several atomic draws, namely make sure to

1. use the returned last point as the start point of the subsequent draw, and
2. let all this happen in the shape object - do not talk to the page object before after the commit.

I don't know who told you that paths must be connected. The contrary is more true: connected drawings define a path. A path is everything between two .finish() methods.

When using Page.draw_*(), all what happens is creating an ultra-short path, which consists of one draw command, followed by a finish, followed by a commit.
