Random gray stuff?

My animation has completely been ruined by this extremely annoying issue. Please find a solution. The gray noise is everywhere

Hard to debug without a repro. Could you:

• Export and share the .piskel file here? That way we can check if it’s a browser/platform issue or something specific to the artwork.
• Share your environment (OS, browser, graphics card—are you using a Chromebook by any chance?).
• Tell us if this happens only with this Piskel artwork or with others as well.

Of course.

Using latest version of Brave, Windows 11, not a chromebook.
It's comparatively milder than the first, although I have observed some of this in other stuff as well.
And as for the Piskel file, can't attach it here. Here's the file garden

It seems to be a Brave-specific issue (the same Piskel works fine for me on Google Chrome):

I’ll take a look, but it might be quite painful to investigate.

I found the core issue: Brave adds noise to canvas pixels to prevent user tracking. Their intent is good, but it breaks the Piskel web app, which relies on pixel-perfect canvas rendering. Refactoring this would require an epic full rewrite of Piskel’s rendering—not feasible for this side project given our current time constraints.

Workarounds:

• Disable canvas fingerprinting for our domain in Brave
• Use another browser.

Note: You will need to clean up any polluted artwork even after applying these workarounds.

Note that we will add a popup banner to alert future Brave users of this issue before they produce a significant amount of work like you did.

I was having a similar issue (Colors were getting slightly changed, .gif exports had tons of noise, the preview was like this

) until i downloaded the desktop version, where it fixed
