unable to connect M5StickC device to eduroam network

I have tried following the suggestions on this post at ESPRESSIF however I have still been unsuccessful in connecting to the campus network which requires a WPA2 authentication.

I also opened a ticket with the TUM IT department. They weren't very helpful, only recommended to use the WLANBayern network instead.

Still no luck.

As a temporary work around I was able to create a WIFI access point on the NUC PC following this guide. This should be sufficient for now, however we may want to consider moving to a GSM device if we really care about the connectivity.
