Is it possible to use Zotero with Collabora?

I'm trying to enable Zotero plugin for Collabora.

cat /etc/coolwsd/coolwsd.xml yields

<zotero desc="Zotero plugin configuration. For more details about Zotero visit https://www.zotero.org/">

</zotero>

However, I could not yet figure out what else to do? The 'References' tab does not seem to include any citation capabilities.

A quick research on this yields that, at least when integrated within nextcloud, it is required to upload an Zotero API key somewhere in nextcloud. Is there some equivalent for OpenCloud?

No there is none, this is a feature-request and we can look into it.
