The current releases of all the packages and the Eclipse SDK require Java 21 to run the IDE. I expect gradle can be configure to use any JDK/JRE you have installed on your system. |

I didn't have to do any of this when I first set it up a few months ago. It automatically loaded in using the JDK hotspot, but for some reason it refuses to recognize it now. Is it just obsolete now and I have to do these weird other steps to do it? |

You're probably going to have to give me a walkthrough, because there's way too much in here and it doesn't tell me what I actually need (I'm also not the brightest cookie in the jar). Before hand, I just clicked the latest download and it automatically converted to Java 17 with the hotspot already ready to go, but now there's a bunch of extra stuff. It is refusing to recognize the Adoptium hotspot even after I was downgrading to V 2023-06. Is it possible I can just get an installer for 2023-06 so I don't have to do all this weird other stuff (and also so it'll actually recognize the hotspot?) |

Thank you Sorry I was probably annoying to deal with, I'm just upset gradle deleted itself and it kinda ruined my whole week, so thank you for still being nice and helping me despite my not-so-chill demeanor |

For some reason, gradle shit itself and deleted half of itself so I'm attempting to do a full fresh install of Eclipse and whatnot. I cleared everything out so it should all be clear, but now when I'm trying to reinstall, it's only letting me install a Java 21+ VM instead of a 17 that I need.
How can I let it downgrade what version of Java I'm using?
