But having a release with a fix for #14212 would be nice.

It was supposed to be released a few months ago, but there was an issue with the new RPC sync mechanism and creating the release.

You can follow the progress here, #14546 (comment) - Release is delayed to finish the replacement of the filter synchronization source.

This is ready for review and testing. The next discussion is whether Wasabi should be an RPC first or P2P first wallet. For v2.8.0 my idea was to make Wasabi a RPC wallet but then, when I saw how extremely slow was the mechanism for those not running a local node, I changed my mind and came with this mechanism that I was planning for v2.9.0.

Now the situation is much better because the RPC synchronization runs faster while the remote RPC synchronization runs much faster than before (but it is still slow) and the P2P synchronization seems to run pretty well even over Tor. As always, first time sync is slow.
